Lost
Lost... or maybe just confused by his surroundings. And hoping no one asks him to explain Andy Warhol's Three Brillo Boxes.

Lost, 1995; Jack Pierson, American, born 1960; wood, metal, and paint; Baltimore Museum of Art.

I love this picture. At first glance it is humorous, with the guard looking so lost with the irony of the art work "lost" hanging on the wall behind him. Yet,generally, I just feel sorry for that poor guard. I think being a museum guard would be one of the most boring jobs in the world, but can you imagine the relentless boredom you would feel if you had to look at THAT art, and I use the term loosely, all day!!!
